okay... today we gonna talk a little lesson about communication.
afterall we use communication everyday isnt it?

first of all in bridging a good communication, there is this very 1st rule, and that stems the first step of good communication...
empathy.
how many times have you shared your woes with your friends but you just felt that he or she dont seem to feel for you and you just shut off after which?
common?
there, that's where empathy comes into play..
in NLP terms, Richard Brandler termed this pacing.
there are some communication-killers that destroy communication that we cant, or i say, shouldn't commit.
you had some bad moments
and you shared with your good friend earnestly...
and your friend responded promptly.
"i don't understand why you are so angry!"
communication, gone. you shd be feeling quite turned off hearing this by now.
and you prolly wouldnt want to share anything else.
why? the reason is simple, clear, but yet hard to detect for many.
your friend may not mean to shoot you off, but just simply dun understand how u feel. yet he/she just did a communication killer.
after coaching for so long, i understand how empathy is so important to gaining trust and in communicating.
let me just share with you the key to making people feeling comfortable talking to you.
now, whenever someone shares his or her experience with me, i never evaluate the situation first. But instead, i pace his/her emotions first before leading him or her into analysing the situation. And that's how it always worked!
small magic. but it works.

people will feel comfortable and enjoy talking to you, isnt that great?
now, master this trick and you will have the power of better communication and improving relationships with the people around you..

today i was taking measurements along marina square for one of our events..
a singh guy in his forties walked up to me and told me i'm a lucky guy.
"from your forehead.. i can tell you you are a lucky guy."
hm... interesting... i haven't been one to consider myself lucky so far. lol!!
yah... i'm lucky with girls... but other than that... puaHAHahHAhahA... I always thought i need to build up everything on my own.
Told me to take out a piece of white paper..
With a bit of skeptism but still obliged.
search for my bag and took out my note book...
tear a piece of paper out.
he wrote down numbers 5 and 9.
then pass me a prepared scrambled paper from his pockets.
told me to pick any 2 numbers between.
8th first.
then 6th.
opened up the scrambled paper i found 7. but what is very amazing is that the prepared piece of scrambled paper that he written the 7 on has the prints of that from my notebook. i.e to say the prepared paper he wrote on was from my very own notebook while i'm very sure he did not tear it out from the paper i gave him. how he did dat i dunnoe. lol.

Hm... ya ya... happiness is what i want...

wow.. im freaking tired! just back from company's chalet!
darn fun. lol.
1st day was just bbq and stuffs and mahjong.
2nd day we went to parkway for dim sum lunch, then went to Budget terminal awhile to collect stuffs, then went ktv, then back to chalet bbq, mahjong and finally night cycling to bedok jetty.
and just now we went to watch sex and the city...
nice show, superb!
(not the sex part, but the story line part ;] )
alright! tmr gotta back to work, and i miss mel!
