my girl loves me a lot...
today school was fun and i think i like education.
even after i've graduated, i think i'll still choose to continue to study, maybe in different fields.
Hm... do you know, everyone posseses a different language pattern, and our language, the choice of words we use, says somthing about our beliefs, emotions and our general attitudes...
Learnt something about
Saphir-Whorf Hypothesis last week... Saphir-Whorf Hypothesis prostulates that language not only transmits meaning but also shapes our thinking, beliefs and attitudes.
Saphir-Whorf considers that a person's culture is revealed by his language.
i totally agree!
And i think the best apt example of explaining this phenomenon is by examining how people write in their blog, every blog share's a different view point and a general outlook of their life and what they want, and what's more important to them...
hehz, and i always like to go to certain blogs and u can just tell by a second what this person is like by going thru a few entries...
It's interesting dun u think so?
You can understand a person by observing thru his or her words and see a general pattern, for instance, a girl who perenially wrote about her nightlife in the different clubs/discos does say something about her extrovert character and the importance that she placed in her night life.
hehz! interesting isn't it?!
And the choices of words that we use? positive or negative? go notice it yourself.
if you find a great repetition of negative words such as hate(hate my this hate my that), cham liao, shit, damn, irritated, then you probably can picture out his/her optimisim or pessimism in their outlook. And a repetition of certain words that keep going thru their writings also portrayed their values...
go test it out for yourself... go look thru your peers' writing.. and go notice the language pattern and see if it's indeed true and if it does say something about them.
What's my language pattern? and what's yours?
alright... i shall go and finish up my readingz!!!
Oh.. and my younger sis is gonna have her AK school workshop soon, finally. now i can impose those concepts on her at home!
see ya peeps... muackx~ ;)
